Liliana Merizalde Gonzalez (@docteurmiller) uses the metaphor of organic prothesis built on her subjects as symbols of pain and loss which become, on the female bodies, the physical manifestation of their own sufferings and strength and become the means of their own resilience. After an intimate encounter with each of the subjects, the artist places different “prosthesis” which extend, limit, cover, outline or highlight their bodies or one of its parts.
