A dreamer, a fighter, a sensitive and tenacious person, always in an eternal phase of change and renewal. She defines herself as a woman and many other women.
This is Esther Kiras, a photographer and content creator from Spain.
She started taking photos in high school, when her father gave her the first camera. From that moment on, she never stopped being behind and in front of the lens.
Photography allows her to express her inner self, values and beliefs, fears and concerns about life and society.

When looking at Kiras' photos for the first time, we immediately get the feeling of being in front of a raw and blunt beauty, a true-to-life reality. A space where real humans live, with their unfiltered and authentic bodies. The background is gritty, most of the time natural, the skin is exposed and nude, with imperfections and scars. These photos give off a fierce power, permeated with love and hope. They let us glimpse the inner struggle, the difficulty of being human, the effort and courage to finally make peace with ourselves.

Esther Kiras' photography talks about sisterhood, parenthood, freedom of sexual expression, acceptance of one's own body. The leitmotif which keeps running among these subjects appears to be always one: the uncorrupted nature. Kiras portrays her subjects, mostly women, within a natural environment, favoring a beauty devoid of any frills or filters. Nude is another leitmotif and becomes a way to confront and challenge the burden of the ideal canon of beauty.
The self-portraits helped me a lot to face myself, to look at myself without any ornaments, while getting rid of guilt and impossible goals
The artist uses photography to confront her own complexes, walking on a path of self-acceptance and self-love. She said, "The self-portraits helped me a lot to face myself, to look at myself without any ornaments, while getting rid of guilt and impossible goals".
For her, photography is not just a tool for work, but it's essential for life, for survival. After starting her own journey of learning and constant self-improvement through photography, she invites her subjects to do the same.

Kiras' work depicts the body as a home, to preserve and cherish, which can allow us to live marvelous experiences on this earth, like maternity.
Always sincere and truthful, Kiras has represented motherhood on her own terms, focusing on its natural wilderness and purest spirit.
The space of the mother is sacred, like a pristine and pure environment, ruled only by the laws of nature. In Kiras' photos, maternity is portrayed almost like a collective experience, where women support each other, creating a safe and trusted surrounding.
"Through my photographs of motherhood and nature I try to convey a message of connection and a representation of a diverse, pleasant and joyful motherhood. Chosen, free, natural, distant from the most idealized and imposed image".

Kira's photos unveil different ways to think of femininity and especially its representation, trying to subvert certain dynamics and patterns.
She celebrates the diversity and the acceptance of the body as nature has created it, with the most honest gaze, free from unnecessary embellishments: just real.
