Boxing hasn't always been an easy sport to find one's feet in, let alone being a woman trying to find her feet in the world of boxing. Over the course of a year, Erin Lefevre has beautifully put together a series of black and white images that have captured a ray of emotions and sheer dedication of a woman, Casey Morton who pursues her talent in boxing to become a champion, inside and outside the ring. Proving that environment is also important, by learning about the fact that Casey had to move from her homeland, Hawaii where she was considered an at-risk teen to be in a more positive surrounding therefore leading to a more positive lifestyle. Which initially led to her current success.

Erin Lefevre was allowed by Casey Morton to follow her on her boxing journey where she was able to capture intimate and raw images of a personal journey. Shown through the images, the hard work that Casey Morton puts into her training shows how a woman in the boxing sport world has to work twice as hard if not harder to gain success at champion level. Casey Morton moved to San Francisco CA, where her full-time coach Jairo Escobar would train her. Casey Morton also trained teen male fighters as well as women, in her spare time. Passing on the knowledge and wisdom that she has learnt throughout the years of training.

The images not only capture the journey of Casey Morton's journey, but also the small details of her personal identity such as the image showing the tattoo of her beloved dog Lola, who still lives in Hawaii. Small connections to home, whilst she creates a title for herself on a different land. The black and white allows the viewer to concentrate more on what the image has captured rather than being really stimulated by lots of colour. The black and white also allows Casey Morton's journey to be exposed in the way it's meant to be, rather than being overly complicated.

As a college student, Casey travelled from state to state and put herself through college, whilst also giving motivational speeches to at-risk teenagers, she then found her love for boxing. This then led to allowing Erin Lefevre to capture her personal journey to becoming a professional boxer. The project shows the long days and dedication it takes to be in that position, especially as a female boxer taking her rightful place in the world of boxing. However, having to work twice as hard to earn that place. This includes confronting male peers and debates on whether a woman has a place in the boxing world, especially at championship level, proving that women do have that right. This showed physical and mental strength from Casey Morton, which is something to be very admirable of.
