Nyla Sammons (@nylasammons) is a photographer based in East London, her work focuses on portraiture and lifestyle photography, looking at capturing raw moments of feelings and emotions.

She recently announced an exhibition 'We Stand With Our Sisters', which she showcased between the 10th and 11th of March 2026, at Space Studios in London, to celebrate International Women's Day and the importance of a community revolved around sisterhood. During the opening day of the exhibition, Sammons made an appearance to not only meet people but also offered a free pop-up photoshoot space.

Within the exhibition Sammons showcased stories specifically from women who she met at The Well-being Hub (@wellbeinghubcommunity) in Redbridge, London. Which is ran by Cherrill Hutchinson and Raquel Cerezo Martin. She listened to the communities stories of pain and injustice, but also resilience and healing and how much being involved within a sisterhood community has helped them through dark times. Sammons wanted to showcase this beautiful bond within a community, so has curated a series of portraits within an exhibition to highlight this. Alongside each image, there is written words from the women who were photographed, reflecting on what community and sisterhood means to them.

One of the founders of the hub, Cherrill Hutchinson, mentioned wanting viewers of this exhibition to reflect and see themselves within the photographs and words. "If even one person" "is inspired to step out of the shadows and be seen, then this exhibition has done something truly meaningful."
